How can i get OvaGene testing?

At your next appointment, talk to you doctor about which OvaGene test is right for you.  Depending on your cancer type and current treatment plan, your doctor can choose the best test for your individual situation.  Are you planning on starting a new chemotherapy treatment, moving to targeted therapy, or need to know your risk of toxicity to an upcoming platinum or taxane treatment regimen? OvaGene's testing services can help answer important questions related to individualizing a treatment plan just for you!

Every patient's cancer is unique to that individual and must be evaluated in order to properly assess the likelihood of drug related toxicity, cancer recurrence, and therapy response. This testing is known as "Personalized Medicine" and provides critical information to the gynecologic oncologist about the individual patient's genetic makeup and how it may affect treatment.

OvaGene offers personalized testing for patients with gynecologic cancers: endometrial, ovarian, and cervical. Our tests can help your doctor evaluate chemotherapy and/or targeted therapy options, assess the potential of experiencing common side-effects to platinum/taxane therapy and risk of the cancer recurring.

patient information

Each year thousands of women are newly diagnosed with gynecologic cancer.  In the Unites States alone, over 20,000 ovarian, 54,000 uterine and 12,000 cervical cancer cases are diagnosed annually.  There is currently an unmet need for molecular tests to help the gynecologic oncologist tailor their patient's treatment plan.  The OvaGene team is committed to fulfilling that unmet need through the development of new gene-based diagnostic tests that can be used to personalize a patient's treatment using information such as drug response profiles, chemotherapy toxicity risk, and risk of recurrence.
